Tacalyx is a biopharmaceutical start-up company researching and developing innovative therapeutics to target cancer-associated carbohydrate antigens (TACAs). To strengthen our team in Berlin, we are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced bench-level scientist. The major focus of this position is the development of stable cell lines and cellular assays which will be used for antibody characterization.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities:
- Identification of carbohydrate biosynthetic pathways (e.g. by RNAseq, CRISPR/Cas)
- Development/establishment of in vitro and in vivo cancer models by generation and
characterization of
- knockout cell lines (e.g. using CRISPR/Cas)
- overexpression/knock-in cell lines (e.g. NK cells, murine tumor cell lines)
- Analysis and interpretation of data for presentations, reports, publications
- Keep up-to-date on scientific advances from literature and scientific meetings
Essential Background And Skills:
- PhD degree in Life Sciences with focus on immunology/cell biology/oncology
- Extensive hands-on experience in cell line engineering and flow cytometry is a must
- Significant experience in design, execution, and analysis of cell-based assays for proliferation, cell death and killing, adhesion, migration and other immune-oncological assays is desired
- Hands-on experience in NK cell culture (primary and/or cell line derived) is an asset
- Expertise in glycobiology is a strong plus
- Ability to design and execute experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a meaningful manner
- Excellent communication and team playing skills
